9th International Temperature Symposium
Disneyland, Anaheim California March 19-23, 2012
Information for Authors

DEADLINES

  • February 6, 2012, for submission of papers in the approved format to the Program Chair. These papers will receive technical and editorial review prior to final acceptance. If you need special consideration (deadline extension for your paper), please contact the editor at editor@its9.org.

  • July 31, 2012, for submission of final, camera-ready manuscript to the Program Chair for publication by the American Institute of Physics in Volume 8 of Temperature: Its Measurement and Control in Science and Industry.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

All authors of an accepted abstract will have a place reserved in the ITS9 program for their presentation. These will be either in oral sessions or poster sessions. A paper is not required to present at ITS9.

  • All authors who give a presentation will be eligible to submit a full paper for publication review, but a paper submission is not mandatory for participation in the conference.

The length of papers is limited to six pages. Post-deadline submissions cannot be guaranteed a review. Authors needing special consideration should contact the Proceedings Editor. Only those papers that are presented during the Symposium will be published in the Proceedings. Authors should understand that abstract/paper submission implies willingness to pay the  speaker registration fee and present the paper at the conference. For a coauthored paper, a minimum of one author must register for the conference and present the paper. Please download and read the Specific Instructions for Authors pdf for detailed information.

PAPER FORMAT

All manuscript submissions must conform to the AIP paper format. Please use the template found in the link below. EDAS accepts only a .doc or .docx Word file. Further guidance on manuscript preparation is found in the text of the ITS9 Paper Template file.
EDAS PAPER UPLOAD

Authors with accepted abstracts may upload their full manuscript at any time prior to the February 6, 2012 deadline using the EDAS website. Prior to paper submission, we recommend that authors consider the abstract review comments found on the summary page for each accepted abstract. Once a manuscpript has been uploaded into EDAS, the paper status will change from "abstract accepted" to "active".

Note: Please be advised that the EDAS instructions for the upload are somewhat ambiguous concerning the file format and both .doc and .docx Word file versions are acceptable.

PAPER REVIEW PROCESS

All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer review. This review is a separate process from the abstract review process.
